With a user-centred approach, our goal was to design a seamless online shopping experience prioritising intuitive navigation and a visually appealing interface. We emphasised accessibility to cater to a diverse range of users. By harmonising affordability, elegance, and UX design principles, we aimed to empower individuals to express their unique style while adhering to their values.

Research

To understand our users better, we conducted surveys that provided quantitative insights into their preferences and pain points. Users' feedback highlighted affordability and quality as their top priorities. They sought affordable yet stylish modest wear, reinforcing the importance of our user-centered approach. While our initial surveys provided valuable insights, expanding the survey reach could offer even more comprehensive insights.

Leveraging affinity mapping, we distilled extensive brainstormed concepts into clear categories during the creation of Oumad Boutique. This strategic process revealed essential user preferences, guiding the prioritisation of features such as intuitive navigation, wish-list functionality, and seamless checkout. By organising ideas into actionable clusters, we fostered a user-centric approach, ensuring the final design resonated with the target audience, leading to increased user engagement and contributing to the project's overall success.

Journey Map

Analysing a user's journey on a similar website, we outlined each step, emotion, and interaction. This exercise aimed to uncover pain points and moments of delight, identifying areas for improvement on our own website. The journey map highlighted issues like confusing navigation and slow loading times, providing valuable insights for enhancing our site and delivering a smoother, more satisfying user experience, ultimately boosting engagement.

Low-Fidelity

Our design journey led us to create a user-friendly interface characterised by a clear user flow and intuitive navigation. We prioritised minimising user confusion, encouraging engagement, and facilitating efficient interactions to enhance user satisfaction and provide a smooth user journey.

Style Guide

We crafted a comprehensive style guide for Oumad Boutique's online platform, detailing colour palettes, typography, and design elements for consistency. Our focus on accessibility ensured inclusivity and usability, aligning with the brand's commitment to an inclusive shopping experience. This strategic approach not only enhanced user satisfaction but also showcased a dedication to ethical design practices, reflecting the brand's values.

04 Protoypying

High-Fidelity

By refining wireframes based on user feedback, we created high-fidelity mockups that incorporated detailed interactions and visuals, resulting in an engaging interface aligned with the brand identity. Effective collaboration with developers ensured seamless implementation and a user-centred outcome. Rigorous usability testing on the prototype led to a significant 20% increase in usability satisfaction.

Development

We annotated high-fidelity mockups to guide development, ensuring intuitive user interactions like hover effects and button states. This streamlined implementation, minimised challenges, and fostered collaboration with the development team, resulting in innovative solutions. As we move forward, it's important to note that the business is currently renamed to Zayah Collection, reflecting our commitment to providing affordable yet elegant modest clothing to a broader audience. Under this new identity, we will continue our journey to empower individuals to express their unique style while adhering to their values, with the same dedication to user-centric design that has brought us success.
